Other than the weight and space of a hybrid system, I'd love a hybrid FRS.

Its sad, but this is will likely come from toyota eventually. Rumor has it that the car will be reveled to a local library parking lot near 2016, named Prius X^2

what really surprises me is that the crz has only two seats, TWO like a sportscar...oh it was so close to being cool!

Agreed. Would have bought it if it had four seats. While I would hate to see a hybrid version of the FR-S, I would love to see a car similar to the FR-S with a hybrid system. In my opinion that would sell more than developing a hybrid version of a sport-y car. Maybe call it the FR-i?
